Today’s blog post is slightly different from normal. I’m signal boosting a fellow author and writing buddy on Thunderclap. Her name is Jessica West and she is über talented. We are both alumni of the Virtual Writer Workshop hosted by M.J. Kelley, and she edited Bullies and Soggy Soup Bones. We are also fellow contributors on a super secret project which I’ll reveal soon enough.

About Thunderclap and Why:

The great thing about Thunderclap is how it allows you to tweet or share pre-written posts on a day selected in advance by the author. It is a great way for those who aren’t able to support indie authors financially,  to help support them and their careers, anyway, without it costing a dime. You follow a link and click to share. That is all.

And yet, for the author, that tiny click of the mouse button means the whole world. It signifies appreciation, support, love. It helps the author spread the word about his or her work, about upcoming events such as a new release or a cover reveal. In short: It tells the world to look over here and take notice of this author.

The way Thunderclap works is that all those shares go live at once, giving the author a mighty signal boost into the great void that is not a void we call the Internet. And it really helps.

Jessica’s goal is a modest one: 100 shares by February 19, 2015. If she doesn’t meet that goal, the message won’t be  shared. So, join me and let’s help her get that 100 shares by release day.
