#Art of Fantasy 122: Remko Troost

Today I want to introduce you to the Canadian artist, Remko Troost. Remko is a veteran in the games industry with over 15 years of making great art. He is a Senior Concept Artist at Ubisoft Montreal and has worked on projects like Far Cry 3, Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed Unity, and a host of other video games. Remko specializes in digital painting and concept art and you’ll find mention of his work all over the place, having been published in prestigious publications, like Ballistic Publishing, Titan Books, Imagine FX, 2D Artist Magazine, and Computer Arts.

Below are a few pieces I chose for you to enjoy and to give you an idea of the phenomenal talent of this artist. Please sit back and allow your eyes to feast.

I wanted to write that these art posts are linked to my mood and that this week I was in the mood for a Viking and warrior theme but then I realized I am mostly always in that mood. I love Remko’s art and I love the detail he captures in his paintings.

It’s been a frustrating week with lots of things happening. Next weekend is Lexicon and the award ceremony for the Sir Julius Vogel Award. I’ll write about it soon.

Cheers!
