I did not expect Ragnarok to be this lighthearted, not if you consider what Thor had to sacrifice in order to restore the balance. You also get an 80s vibe, maybe mixed with a bit of Guardians of the Galaxy, which is not necessarily a bad thing given my inclination for that decade. The thing that I loved the most about this trailer, though, is them introducing the Planet Hulk version. I read the graphic novel before watching the animated movie and I prefer the former but the movie is good, too.
So without wasting your time any further, here is the trailer:
“In Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!”
Let me know in the comments what you thought of the trailer. I’m dying to hear.
