You will have noticed I’ve registered this blog in my name. It makes it easier for people to find me (I hope) and it looks more professional–if that sort of thing really matters. I don’t know if it does, but it sure looks neat seeing my name dot-commed (Did I invent a new verb here?). For those of you who follow this blog, you will automatically be redirected to http://www.woelfdietrich.com as I’m still on WordPress. They’re awesome like that.
If you have any problems with getting updates, please let me know and I will sort it out quick-quick.
J.A. Konrath posted a satirical take on dealing with bad reviews. I’ve been lucky so far. The reviews for Seals of Abgal have all been five stars. But it’s only the beginning of the journey and given the nature of this game, I am bound to receive bad reviews at some stage. When I discovered this article by Konrath on my feed earlier today I thought, “Ok, this is gonna be interesting” and I wasn’t wrong. It made me laugh. It was a nice way to start my rainy Saturday. Konrath gives solid advice for dealing with bad reviews, all tongue-in-cheek. I thought I’d share it with you guys. Konrath is pretty well-known by most people in our little community, and chances are, you guys do too. But for those who don’t, do yourself a favor and go read his approach to receiving bad reviews: A Newbie’s Guide to Publishing: Dealing with Bad Reviews.
Wow, you got dot-commed! Nice website too. Congratulations!
