I’m mixing my fantasy and science fiction genres slightly today. For good reason, though. Today’s artist paints in both genres and because my own approach in some of my stories borders on science fantasy and supernatural fantasy, I could not help but feel enamored by his art. Alexy Egorov is a digital artist and lives in Yakutsk, Russia, and you will love him.
Below is a small collection of his awesome paintings. Each image links back to the site of origin. Enjoy!
I’m glad I discovered Alexey’s work. He is yet another of those artists whose paintings crosses over from being simply entertaining to being totally evocative, both emotionally and spiritually. There is a dark ambiance to his paintings that draws me, not because I have a particularly dark personality–quite the opposite–but because it speaks to enigmatic things I reflect on at times. The way I see it, art is a mix of life and whatever is printed deep inside our souls.
What do you think? Do you believe our minds hold secrets to life or even beyond life?
Let me know in the comments below. And before I forget, remember to visit my Art of Science Fiction post this week over on Kōsa Press. While you’re there, if you look over to the right bar, you’ll find a chance to win a $100 Amazon Gift Card. Check it out.
Cheers!
