Josh Corpuz is a freelance Artist and illustrator by trade. He worked as a freelancer for two years before joining Moving Reflection Productions. His clients include several established publishing and game companies such as Paizo, Pinnacle Entertainment Group, Artistic Justice Games, Forged Chaos LLC, and Gunship Revolution. He graduated with a degree in BFA in Digital Arts and Animation at Digipen Institute of Technology in Singapore.
I love the vibrancy in his paintings and his use of light. This week I learned that when artists use light to contrast the dark elements in a painting it’s called chiaroscuro. I love it when I learn new things, and, of course, I’ll probably never use that term again unless I’m writing about a snobbish art critic.

As I mentioned above, I love the use of light and colour here as well as the contained energy in the scenes. You’ll note that some of his paintings have exquisite detail while others feel like they were painted in a rush of inspiration.
